This animation is a companion piece to my artists’ book, 9:00:00 to 5:00:00.

9:00:00 to 5:00:00 documents a single workday from beginning to end, capturing my work as a graphic designer. Screenshots of every new configuration of windows or dialogue boxes on my computer are rendered to represent the two monitors.

The specific content of the work is redacted. Rhythm and repetition are preserved, but duration and difficulty are lost, highlighting the arbitrary and interchangeable nature of wage labor.
